One year of Home

One Year Ago today our offer was accepted on our Newfoundland home. And here I am in Ontario putting the finishing touches on this website. It’s a sunny Saturday; the first day in a long time where all you need is a sweater and the wind doesn’t cut like a knife. The girls are playing around the front yard, the white and pink hyacinth in their prime. A freshly cracked bottle of French Brut marks this significant yet, subdued milestone in our family’s history. Our littlest, Dora Rose, is presently pretending to take selfies with my phone with a mouth full of peanuts. Maeve says, “I can still taste the chives” referring to the first growth of this season’s herb garden she was teaching her sister to pick a short while ago. Meanwhile, Dora continues to pick tulip leaves from the flower bed and trying to eat them. All while I am in a flurry of typing content into this website. This is our life. This is TrueField.
